Job summary

The GIANT Company in Souderton, PA is seeking a Bakery Associate to support daily bakery operations, including frosting, cake decorating, and order handling. You will help ensure product quality and customer satisfaction during shifts.

Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, maintaining sanitation, and meeting attendance expectations while performing all duties to standard in a fast-paced store bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in order to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes with colored frosting.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Must demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
