Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring for a bakery team member in the Hershey Rd area. You will be responsible for frosting, cake decoration, taking and processing orders, and maintaining clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced retail bakery.

Strong attention to food safety, physical stamina, and ability to work 4-hour shifts or longer as needed are essential. Previous bakery experience is a plus, and there is a 60-day introductory period. The position is located at USA-PA-Hummelstown.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively to complete duties and follow safety policies.
• Must complete 60-day probationary period.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools for this job.
• Must perform all duties safely and meet performance standards.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule at shift start and prepare required equipment and supplies.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes and decorate cakes.
• Take, complete and store orders in the bakery area.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases and floors.
• Track and record loss and ensure proper food safety practices.
