Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring for a bakery position in Harrisburg, PA. The role requires preparing and decorating cakes, taking orders, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will review schedules, follow PPE rules, and meet company performance standards during shifts. We seek candidates who are authorized to work in the U.S., have reliable reading and communication skills, and ideally possess 1 year of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively to perform duties and comply with policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet performance standards for the job including attendance.
• Must wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at shift start and prepare for duties.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes and decorate cakes.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
