Job summary

Food City in Tennessee is seeking a team member to provide friendly, efficient customer service and assist in bakery operations. The role involves decorating cakes and cookies, greeting customers, taking orders, and keeping products well displayed.

You'll work on-site with some cross-training across departments, and you’ll join a team focused on accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction at every interaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• Able to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service in support of the company mission.
• Maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere through teamwork.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare and produce quality foods and products to meet expectations.
• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and cookies; maintain cases.
• Take telephone orders and manage display areas.
• Assist with inventory, rotation, and dating of products.
• Cross-train in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
