Job summary

Food City is hiring for an entry-level Food Service Associate in Tennessee. You will greet customers, provide prompt service, help prepare products, and keep displays neat. Cake decorating and taking orders are part of the role, with cross-training across areas to support store operations.

Applicants should be at least 18, with or without prior food service experience, and able to meet physical and attendance requirements. Flexible scheduling is available in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• On-site attendance at scheduled shifts to comply with time policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service to support the company mission.
• Assist in preparing and producing quality food and products.
• Decorate specialty cakes, cupcakes, and cookies as needed.
• Maintain bakery cases and display areas neat and stocked.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes and manage inventory.
