Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Bakery Department Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, answer questions about bakery products, decorate cakes, stock items, and monitor quality and safety standards to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

Retail experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store.
Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions; make product suggestions.
Offer samples and assist with bakery items such as wedding cakes using proper equipment.
Recommend bakery items to meet customer needs and preferences.
Ensure product quality, check sell-by dates, and operate bakery equipment per guidelines.
Decorate cakes, pastries and other bakery items; label and stock merchandise.
