Food City in Georgia is hiring a Food Service Associate to provide friendly, efficient service and support our mission to Run the Best Store in Town. You will greet customers, assist with cake decorating, and help keep the store clean and welcoming.

No prior Food Service experience is required; 18+ and on-site availability are essential. This role offers weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities to learn across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food service experience a plus, not required.
• Ability to meet physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• Ability to work on-site during scheduled shifts and adhere to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service to support the mission Run the Best Store in Town.
• Create a positive, friendly work environment with a customer-first mindset.
• Greet and speak to customers, providing prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare and decorate quality food and products.
• Decorate specialty cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.
• Maintain cake and cookie cases.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes.
• Keep display case and workstation neat and clean.
• Rotate and date Food Service products as needed.
• Maintain inventory and ordering for the department.
• Ensure special cake orders are ready for delivery on time.
• Cross-train across multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
