Food City in Cartersville, GA is seeking a friendly Food Service Associate to support our mission of running the best store in town. You will greet customers, provide prompt, courteous service, and help bake and decorate cakes and pastries.

Responsibilities include maintaining cake and cookie displays, taking phone orders, rotating stock with attention to dating, and working with teammates across departments. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive, customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• On-site work attendance required during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service to support the company mission.
• Greet customers and maintain a friendly, positive atmosphere.
• Prepare and produce quality food & products to meet customer expectations.
• Decorate specialty cakes and cupcakes; maintain cake displays.
• Take telephone orders for foods and specialty cakes; maintain display cases.
• Assist in proper rotation and dating of Food Service products; manage inventory and ordering.
• Cross-train in multiple areas to support team needs.
