Job summary

Smoky Mountain Resorts is seeking an Activities Host to design and lead engaging guest activities in our Great Smoky Mountains resort. You will plan daily events, manage logistics, and tailor programs to families and guests while upholding SMR’s legendary service and safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Senior staff will support you in creating fun, safe experiences for all ages.

Qualifications

• Be in good physical condition and able to perform indoor and outdoor duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Maintain a culture of legendary service and hospitality among team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; basic Spanish helpful.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Prior experience in hospitality or guest activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation.
• Handle logistics such as phone calls and inventory to support events.
• Assess guest needs and tailor activities accordingly.
• Organize and promote recreational activities like arts, crafts, sports, and hobbies.
• Manage a recreational activity area and assist during non-peak seasons as assigned.
• Complete required safety training and maintain compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with team members to create energetic and engaging experiences for families.
• Host a safe, interactive environment suitable for kids and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep across property grounds and activity spaces.
• Coordinate with health and inspection officials as needed.
