Job summary

PACS Group in the United States is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, resident-centered activities program aligned with regulatory standards and the facility's assessment-driven plan.

You will help plan individual and group activities, coordinate calendars, assist with assessments, transportation arrangements, and engage residents in hobbies and reading to enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activities for individuals, small groups, and large groups.
• Assist in providing communication between employees, residents, families, and other stakeholders to support residents' needs.
• Assist in development of monthly activity calendars and attendance records.
• Assist in discharge planning and development of activity care plans and assessments.
• Arrange transportation for residents for outings, appointments, or discharge.
• Develop monthly activity schedules including outings, group activities, and in-room activities for bed-bound residents.
• Encourage participation in self-initiated activities such as hobbies, crafts, and reading.
