Job summary

PACS is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, engaging, resident-centered activities program in a long-term care setting. You will help plan, conduct, and document activities that meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating calendars, arranging transportation when needed, maintaining records, and supporting a collaborative team to ensure quality care and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting of individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between employees, residents, families and public.
• Assist in development of monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
• Assist in arranging transportation for residents when necessary.
• Assist in developing activity schedules for residents, including outings and in-room activities.
