Job summary

American Equipment Holdings is seeking a Crane Service Technician - Level 2 or above to join our Anchorage, AK branch. As part of a 50-year legacy, you'll perform essential maintenance and repairs on electric overhead cranes while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Position Summary

We are hiring an experienced Crane Service Technician - Level 2 or above to join or relocate to our Anchorage, AK branch. Join our team and be part of a 50+ year legacy to provide unmatched customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Accurately document work performed in service reports.
  • Perform new crane wiring, assembly, installation, and startup.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Travel may be required; work vehicle provided.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3‑phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or equivalent vocational training or experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years hands‑on electro‑mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments and familiarity with related equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must pass drug‑screen and background check.
  • Proven commitment to safety.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus.
Schedule
  • 8 hour shift.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • On‑call or overtime may be required.
