American Equipment Holdings (AEH) is seeking an Experienced Crane Service Technician to join our Salt Lake City area team. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes with advanced components, across multiple experience levels from Level 1 to Master.

We offer a sign-on bonus for experienced technicians and a range of benefits. Travel may be required, and a company vehicle is provided for field service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical training or certifications are preferred.
• Experience in crane service or industrial maintenance is necessary.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are important.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Generate sales leads during service calls.
• Document work accurately on service reports.
• Handle crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel may be required; work vehicle provided.

Position Summary

We are seeking Experienced Crane Service Technician to join our team in the Salt Lake City, UT area. We hire and develop technicians across multiple experience levels (Level 1 through Master level). This advanced-level position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including systems with advanced auxiliary components. Advancement is based on demonstrated skills, experience, performance, and certifications. Technicians at all levels perform field service, repairs, and inspections on overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment.

Sign on bonus provided to experience Crane Service Technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.

• Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
• New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.
