American Equipment Holdings (AEH) seeks an Experienced Crane Service Technician to join our Salt Lake City team. You will perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including systems with advanced components.

This advanced role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to read schematics, and a customer-focused mindset. Travel may be required; a company vehicle is provided, and relocation options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Experience in crane service or industrial maintenance.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
• Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Generate sales leads during service calls
• Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
• New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.

Position Summary

We are seeking Experienced Crane Service Technician to join our team in the Salt Lake City, UT area. We hire and develop technicians across multiple experience levels (Level 1 through Master level). This advanced-level position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including systems with advanced auxiliary components. Advancement is based on demonstrated skills, experience, performance, and certifications. Technicians at all levels perform field service, repairs, and inspections on overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment.

Sign on bonus provided to experience Crane Service Technicians.
