Job summary

Mazzella is seeking a highly organized Service Writer to join our Service team in Dallas. The role manages crane repair quotes, follow-up, and the entire order cycle from quote to order placement for repair jobs.

Responsibilities include creating quotes, coordinating with technicians and customers, tracking parts, and assisting planning. A high school diploma is required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; 2 years in sales/service preferred.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school, military or crane service training preferred.
• 2 years in a sales or service role or equivalent military experience.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Strong analytical, planning and math skills; good written/spoken communication.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Create crane repair quotes using inspection reports, safety docs and service orders.
• Interact with technicians, supervisors, vendors and customers to build quotes.
• Send finished quotes to customers and track quotations.
• Track and receive parts for inspection/repair jobs.
• Notify service for scheduling when parts arrive.
• Follow up on active quotes and document progress.
• Support field technicians with parts and identification.
• Assist with service job quoting and planning when needed.
• Communicate with subcontractors, vendors and customers.
• Review technical docs to complete quotes and resolve issues.
