You hold an OSHA-certified crane license, have 3+ years of experience, and can work with strict safety standards. The role emphasizes adherence to load charts, proper use of safety devices, and effective communication with the crew.

Qualifications

  • Current crane operator certification from an OSHA-recognized organization.
  • Must complete and maintain ACI’s operator evaluation for each equipment type.
  • Minimum 3 years mobile crane operating experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of load charts, crane configurations, and net capacity.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for over-the-road movement.
  • U.S. citizenship may be required for project assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document crane inspections per OSHA and manufacturer requirements.
  • Verify crane setup and ground conditions before operations.
  • Verify operational aids are functional and use alternative measures if needed.
  • Review lift plans, loads, rigging, and crane configuration before each lift.
  • Operate within load chart capacity and follow safety devices.
  • Use hand signals or radio with qualified signal person; stop if signals are unclear.
