Job summary

Acadian Contractors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to safely operate mobile cranes on construction sites and offsite locations, performing lifts, set-ups, and pile driving support. You will verify load charts, follow lift plans, and coordinate with riggers and signal persons while maintaining equipment and complying with safety rules.

This full-time role requires crane operator certification and willingness to travel to project sites. CDL may be preferred in some assignments.

Qualifications

• Current crane operator certification from an OSHA-recognized accredited testing organization (NCCCO preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of mobile crane operating experience in industrial or heavy construction preferred.
• Ability to pass the physical/medical requirements applicable to certified crane operators.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred for over-the-road movement.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document daily crane inspections and remove deficient equipment from service.
• Verify crane setup including ground conditions, matting, outriggers, levelness, and counterweight configuration.
• Ensure load moment indicator, anti-two-block, and other aids are functional before lifting.
• Review lift plans, rigging, and crane configuration before each lift and participate in pre-lift meetings.
• Operate within load chart capacity and stop unsafe operations immediately.
• Coordinate travel, positioning, and securement of crane on site with riggers and crew.
• Maintain logs and inspections; perform basic operator-level maintenance.
