Job summary

JHA Safety LLC dba Optimum Mechanical Services is seeking a dependable, safety-minded professional to join our team in an operating role that supports the safe movement of heavy materials and equipment on active worksites.

You will operate lifting equipment, follow load charts and rigging plans, perform pre-operation inspections, and communicate clearly with riggers, supervisors, and crew to ensure safe, coordinated lifting operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating lifting or heavy equipment in industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, load handling and site communication protocols.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, lift plans, safety procedures, and equipment indicators.

Responsibilities

• Operate lifting equipment to move materials, components, and equipment as per site plans and safety procedures.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and document equipment condition before use.
• Follow load charts, signals, rigging plans, and safety requirements during lifting activities.
• Communicate clearly with riggers, signal persons, supervisors, and crew to ensure safe operations.
• Position loads carefully and maintain awareness of surroundings and hazards.
• Complete routine checks and report maintenance needs or defects promptly.
• Support general site safety and housekeeping practices as required.
• Maintain accurate logs, inspection records, and other operational documentation.
