Job summary

Bay Ltd. is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to operate mobile and stationary cranes, lift and move loads, and ensure safe and compliant work sites. The role requires following lift plans, assessing weights, and maintaining safety procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a valid state heavy equipment license and NCCCO certification, with a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work non-routine hours and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow lift plans and manufacturer specifications.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of cranes and assist equipment per lift plans.
• Review lift plans and select appropriate crane confirmations to meet lift requirements.
• Calculate load capacity and assess weights relative to crane capacity.
• Inspect work area for clearances, overhead lines, and obstructions; maintain safe operations.
• Set up equipment per manufacturer manuals and safety guidelines; communicate hazards to supervision.
• Coordinate with riggers and site supervision using signals to move loads.
• Record job tickets and maintain safety logs; shut down crane operations if unsafe conditions arise.
