Description Summary

The Crane Operator is responsible for operating mobile and RT cranes. As a crane operator for Krän, you will be an integral part of every project, working closely with the Crane Supervisor, Site and Company Managers, and Supporting Staff. You must have good communication skills both in and out of the crane, as well as integrity in work and safety standards. Responsibilities

1. Operate various types of cranes to the manufacturer’s specifications.
2. Direct activities of site employees, truck drivers, and team members to execute lifts meeting customer requirements.
3. Operate cranes according to communications from ground personnel via radio or visual hand signals.
4. Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance, including daily and weekly checks on all equipment.
5. Ensure safety during setup, operation, and teardown of the crane.
6. Complete job tickets (JSA’s) accurately, either on paper or mobile device; handle jobsite invoicing and billing responsibilities.
7. Fill out maintenance logs, lift plans, and lift logs properly.
8. Drive support trucks to worksites and unload trucks.
9. Support other crane operators and riggers by completing various tasks.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Proficiencies

Required:

• NCCCO Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, ANSI, and PEC standards related to crane operations
• Ability to pass drug test, background check, crane competency test, and fit-for-duty assessment
• Availability to work 50-60 hours weekly on a rotating schedule

Physical Demands

This role requires climbing, standing, and sitting for extended periods, and the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Employees must wear appropriate FR clothing and PPE provided by Krän. The work environment may include exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Tasks may involve working near moving machinery, at heights, outdoors in various weather conditions, and in noisy environments requiring hearing protection.
