Job Summary

Ensures safety first, along with safe lifting of loads, proper crane setup, and maintaining customer focus. Follows all state and federal laws, safety, and environmental policies during job tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Review next day’s job assignments and prepare all necessary rigging and equipment before shift end.
2. Complete and submit Field Tickets, noting any chargeable equipment used.
3. Record daily hours in payroll book and report to the branch by Monday 10:00 a.m.
4. If not on a job, inspect, clean, and maintain equipment; stay productive.
5. Respond promptly to phone/pager calls.
6. Assist in training on safe crane operation.
7. Review crane manuals periodically.
8. Maintain equipment and cleanliness in shop and yard.
9. Read, interpret, and calculate load charts and crane setup.
10. Program crane computers and set up cranes safely on site.
11. Ensure signal persons understand hand signals.
12. Perform proper rigging for safe lifts.
13. Inspect crane, truck, or trailer before use, complete inspection reports.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current state-issued CDL.
• Crane operating license (NCCCO).
• Minimum 3 years hydraulic crane operation experience.
• Ability to operate crane via hand signals.
