Position: Crane Operator

Location: Denver, CO

Reports to: Branch Manager

RMS is seeking experienced full-time crane operators to join our growing branch. Candidates must meet all listed requirements to be considered. Salary: $41.73/hour - $54.27/hour DOE and certifications

Summary: Ensures safety at all times, including safe lifting, proper crane setup, and customer focus. Complies with all State and Federal laws and safety policies during operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Review next day’s job assignments and prepare necessary rigging and equipment at the end of each shift.
2. Complete and submit field tickets, noting any chargeable equipment used.
3. Maintain a daily payroll log; report hours to the branch by 10:00 a.m. every Monday.
4. If not on a job, inspect, clean, and perform maintenance on equipment; communicate with supervisors and stay productive.
5. Promptly answer phone calls and pagers.
6. Assist in training on safe crane operation.
7. Review crane manuals and operational procedures periodically.
8. Clean and organize equipment and facilities.
9. Read and interpret load charts; calculate load percentages.
10. Program crane controls and set up crane safely on-site.
11. Ensure signal persons understand and perform proper hand signals.
12. Use proper rigging techniques for safe lifts.
13. Inspect cranes, trucks, and trailers; complete vehicle inspection reports.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current state-issued Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Current NCCCO crane operating license.
• Minimum of 3 years operating hydraulic cranes.
• Ability to operate crane using hand signals.

Skills Required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for instructions, safety compliance, and record-keeping.
• Mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
