Job summary

Maxim Crane Works LP is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair crane systems from body to engines and electrical/computer systems. The role includes servicing cranes, boom trucks, trailers, and other heavy fleet assets.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of mechanical experience with cranes, CDL, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints, with strong problem solving and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret instructions and blueprints.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical and hydraulic systems and other components.
• Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand trucks to move heavy equipment.
• Inspect machines to diagnose defects and determine repairs.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance per specs.
• Read manuals, blueprints, and drawings; fabricate/modify/install parts.
