Job summary

Maxim Crane Works, LP in Port Lavaca, TX seeks an experienced Crane Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair crane systems on diverse fleet including cranes, boom trucks and trailers. You will read manuals and blueprints, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic systems and ensure OEM compliance.

CDL is preferred but not required; 5+ years crane mechanical experience is expected, with strong diagnostic and hands-on skills essential for success in

Qualifications

• 5+ years' mechanical experience, crane related.
• 3+ years' experience in diesel, gasoline, and propane engines.
• High school diploma or GED; additional education preferred.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on crane systems.
• Inspect diesel engines, booms, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand trucks to move heavy components.
• Read manuals and blueprints; ensure OEM specifications are met.
• Repair, rewire and troubleshoot electrical systems on machines.
• Fabricate, modify or install replacement parts as needed.
• Pass drug test, background check, and fit-for-duty assessments.
