Job summary

Maxim Crane in Boise, Idaho is seeking a seasoned crane mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair crane systems from body to engines and electrical or computer systems.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, hydraulics; testing equipment per OEM specs; fabricating and installing parts; reading blueprints; and ensuring safety compliance. 5+ years of mechanical experience with crane experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Vocational degree preferred.
• 5+ years' mechanical experience; crane experience required (Liebherr, Tadano and Manitowoc preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on crane systems (diesel engines, booms, hydraulics, electricals).
• Inspect machines to diagnose faults and determine repairs.
• Test equipment to verify performance per OEM specifications.
• Repair and replace worn parts on cranes; operate hoists and forklifts as needed.
• Fabricate, modify and install special equipment or replacement parts.
