Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an energetic Store Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties, and to provide a fun, engaging guest experience.

You will assist customers, manage checkout, and coordinate store activities to uphold brand standards. Responsibilities include party coordination, crafts instruction, add-ons, and omni-channel support, while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other in-store events.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts and activities.
• Support add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
• Assist customers, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Ensure fast, friendly checkout and enrollment in rewards programs.
• Maintain store standards and participate in stock, receipts, and shipments.
