Job summary

Michaels in Weymouth, MA is hiring an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, crafts classes, and add-ons. You will engage customers of all ages, demonstrate activities, support checkout, and promote rewards programs while maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure a fun, stress-free guest experience, assist with stock, planograms, and daily store operations, including clean-up and safety adherence.

• Experience working with children and children’s events preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in-store, including children's parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages and guide them to products and services.
• Assist at checkout to ensure a fast, friendly experience.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS and Ship From Store).
• Assist with stocking, planograms, and store recovery tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and SOP adherence.
• Handle daily store duties and cross-train in framing sales as needed.
