Job summary

Michaels in Columbus/Hilliard, OH is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events (including kids’ birthday parties). You’ll engage guests of all ages, demonstrate crafts, provide face painting, and promote event add-ons while ensuring a stress-free, fun experience and a fast, friendly checkout.

The role covers customer experience, omnichannel processes, stock and planogram tasks, store cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing events, especially for children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized during events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events, including kids’ parties and classes.
• Engage customers of all ages and demonstrate crafts; provide face painting.
• Promote add-ons (balloons, goody bags) and communicate with clients and staff.
• Handle administrative tasks and support omnichannel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and SOP compliance.
