Job summary

Michaels in Westlake, OH is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events including children's parties and craft classes. You will engage customers, coordinate with store teams, and manage event logistics from setup to clean-up.

The role involves face painting, selling add-ons, and ensuring a fun, safe, and organized environment for guests of all ages while delivering fast checkout support and rewards program enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client's feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
