Job summary

Michaels Stores in Knightdale, NC seeks an Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, and deliver friendly customer service. You’ll assist customers, manage checkouts, and ensure merchandise recovery and store standards.

You will engage guests of all ages, guide craft activities, and coordinate add-ons while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with Michaels’ Brand Promises.

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.

• Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at Michaels stores, including kids’ birthday parties.
• Engage clients of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Assist customers with shopping and checkout; promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
