Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, crafts classes, and more. You will engage with guests of all ages, assist customers, and support omnichannel processes while upholding store standards.

You will also manage administrative tasks, assist with party add-ons, and maintain a fun, safe, and organized environment consistent with Michaels’ brand values.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; restock and perform store recovery duties.
