Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events, including children's birthday parties, to deliver a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests.

You will assist customers, keep checkout fast and friendly, and support store operations as needed. You’ll engage with guests of all ages, demonstrate crafts, upsell rewards programs, and collaborate with the team to ensure safety, cleanliness, and smooth event

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is required.
• Experience working with children and children’s events is required.
• Excellent people skills and a positive attitude are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events, including children’s parties and other in-store events.
• Assist customers and provide fast, friendly checkout experiences.
• Support truck unload, stocking, and maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team; adjust plans as needed.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
