Michaels Stores in Morrisville, NC is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including kids birthday parties, crafts, and classes. You will coordinate with clients and store teams to deliver engaging experiences that align with the brand promise.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, ensuring fast checkout, and maintaining store cleanliness while managing event logistics, upholding safety standards, and providing exceptional service to guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts; perform face painting and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Enroll in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; educate on VOC survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
• Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Interact respectfully; be a role model for team members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
