Job summary

Michaels in Hamilton, OH is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and execute children's parties and store events. You will engage guests of all ages, assist customers, and support the store with merchandise duties and a smooth checkout experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, instructing participants, and upselling add-ons while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Prior experience with children’s events and strong communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts, and perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and upsell party add-ons like goody bags and balloons.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle emails, phone calls, and paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback; create backup plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction and maintain store cleanliness and safety.
