The Michaels Companies Inc. in Pittsburgh's Pitt-Robinson Township store is seeking an events coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including children's birthday parties, within our busy retail environment.

You will deliver friendly customer service, assist guests with shopping, manage checkout experiences, and handle operations such as truck unloads and merchandising, while upholding safety, cleanliness, and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating events, preferably in retail or service settings.
• Ability to engage guests of all ages and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Experience working with children’s events and activities is preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Instruct participants in crafts and activities, including face painting as needed.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members and handle related paperwork.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events.
