Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator at our Store - SLC-MIDVALE, UT location. You will plan and execute events and classes, engage guests of all ages, and ensure a friendly checkout and shopping experience.

You will also support store operations, inventory, and cross‑team collaboration to deliver the Michaels Brand Promises. The role emphasizes coordination of children's parties, customer service excellence, and attention to safety and cleanliness in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and lead party activities, including face painting and crafts.
• Coordinate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to brand standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
