Job summary

Puttshack Skokie is seeking an energetic bartender for our high-volume bar team in the Chicago area. The role offers base pay plus tips, flexible hours, and opportunities to showcase craft cocktails in a vibrant venue with world-class food and full bar service.

As part of the team, you will greet guests, prepare drinks to recipes, maintain bar stock, and collaborate with staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age to apply.
• Prior craft cocktail experience in high-volume restaurant or bar.
• Strong level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
• Must obtain required licenses and certifications per state/local requirements.
• Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment.
• Safely and effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Bring your A game every day.
• Greet guests with a warm invite and sincere smile.
• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and instructions.
• Stock/restock bar areas with alcohol, glassware, ice, garnishes, and supplies.
• Follow steps of service for full bar top, cocktail station, and dining area.
• Anticipate guests needs and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Follow food allergy procedures and manage special orders/restrictions.
• Transport food and beverages safely and effectively.
• Keep areas tidy and comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Direct barbacks and work as a team.
• Complete alcohol awareness training.
• Follow all employment policies, including Associate Handbook terms.
• Perform other duties including side-work, opening, and closing tasks.
