Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking a Market Development Representative to grow sales and market share in the assigned area. The role focuses on retail execution, product distribution, and promotional activity, with about 90% of time spent in retail settings.

You will engage in account development, merchandising, staff education, and event coordination to strengthen brand presence across on- and off-premise accounts.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or any combination of education and/or experience achieving comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2 years business-to-business sales experience preferred.
• Previous sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of state and federal liquor laws.
• Proven track record of meeting business plan goals including volume and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Call on existing account base within area to obtain new distribution and promote products.
• Identify and solicit new business and retail opportunities to increase volume and share.
• Ensure proper merchandising of product and POS materials.
• Conduct staff educations and beer tastings as needed.
• Secure displays and manage on- and off-premise placements.
• Provide exceptional service to assigned accounts to become their preferred supplier.
• Coordinate events and promotions to raise brand awareness and sales.
