Job summary

Hyatt Place Phoenix / Downtown is seeking a Bartender/Server to craft cocktails and serve guests in the restaurant and at events. You will ensure timely, friendly beverage service, manage bar operations, and support guest experience throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong communication, multitasking ability, POS familiarity, and TiPS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days). Cash handling and sanitation knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Basic math skills for checks and tip-out calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Curates craft cocktails and beverages to guest specifications.
• Describe all bar items, methods of preparation and prices.
• Ensure proper shaking, mixing and stirring techniques with standard bar tools.
• Assist guests with special requests and dietary needs.
• Cash handling and balancing at shift end; process tips.
• Provide prompt, courteous service at assigned station.
• Follow health/sanitation guidelines and company policies.
