Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer to lead, implement, and administer the Bank’s CRA Compliance Program in Des Moines, IA. This role ensures data integrity for CRA/HMDA and provides support to lending operations and senior management through reports.

The incumbent will train staff on CRA and Fair Banking, monitor compliance with evolving regulations, and coordinate with internal auditors and regulators. A strong regulatory background is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CRA experience and/or Fair Lending experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Word and Excel; ability to work with complex regulatory data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise on CRA, HMDA, and Fair Lending requirements.
• Ensure CRA files and notices meet regulatory standards.
• Develop and deliver CRA and Fair Banking training for employees.
• Collaborate with business lines to update Fair Banking policies and risk assessments.
• Prepare and present management reports on CRA and HMDA data.
