Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an RTL Power engineer to model and optimize CPU power for high-performance, energy-efficient designs.

You will work with architecture, RTL, verification and physical design teams to create accurate power models and drive optimizations across the design flow. The role requires deep expertise in low-power CPU/ASIC design, clock gating, and power estimation tools, with experience in Verilog/VHDL and scripting to automate workflows.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3-8 years of CPU RTL power modeling and estimation experience.
• Deep understanding of CPU/ASIC low power design including clock gating and power optimization; power modeling for power/performance tradeoffs and battery life projections.

Responsibilities

• Estimate/analyze RTL power for CPU modules and optimize power at various design stages with architecture, RTL, verification and physical design teams.
• Build scripts (Python/Perl) to automate power estimation/analysis flow and develop algorithms for HW throttling mechanisms to meet performance targets.
