Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a CPU RTL Engineer to collaborate with CPU architects on micro-architecture and RTL design for high-performance, low-power devices.

You will participate in early architecture exploration and drive RTL ownership with cross-functional teams to optimize timing, area, and power across the design lifecycle. The role requires deep knowledge of microprocessor architecture, Verilog/VHDL, and experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years hardware/software engineering, or Master's with 7+ years, or PhD with 6+ years.
• Strong knowledge of microprocessor architecture areas: fetch/decode, branch prediction, scheduling, out-of-order execution, and memory subsystems.
• Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and logic design principles; experience with debugging and timing/power considerations.

Responsibilities

• Explore performance strategies with the CPU modeling team.
• Develop and specify CPU microarchitecture from early exploration to detailed specs.
• Own RTL development, assessment, and refinement to meet timing, power and area goals.
