Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services seeks a CPS Conservatorship Worker to support permanency planning for children in CPS care. The role involves collaborating with parents, kinship resources, foster families, and legal parties to ensure safe, permanent arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field per screening criteria.
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to travel frequently and work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Receives cases after children are removed and placed in CPS conservatorship.
• Determines child needs and ensures referrals for tests, evaluations and records.
• Works with children, families, and communities to plan permanency.
• Identifies kinship resources and completes home studies for kinship providers.
• Attends court hearings and prepares reports and testimony.
