Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two years of relevant work experience or 60 credits plus two years of relevant work experience or 90 credits plus one year of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of child development and family dynamics, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel for visits and attend meetings after 5pm; on-call duties and irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Receives cases after children are removed and placed in CPS conservatorship; ensures permanency planning.
• Plans for child permanency with families and kinship providers; conducts home studies as needed.
• Attends court hearings, prepares reports, and testifies on child needs and department efforts for permanency.
