Job summary

Maine Judicial Branch is seeking a Courtroom Technology Assistant to operate and maintain courtroom technologies such as digital recording, sound systems, and video equipment. The role supports judges and staff across multiple counties and courts, ensuring high-quality recordings and reliable tech performance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with two years of clerical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school (or GED).
• Two years of clerical experience in a Clerk’s Office, or comparable work preferred.
• Experience with technologies used in courtrooms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates courtroom technology and ensures equipment is functioning properly.
• Troubleshoots hardware/software issues and coordinates repairs.
• Travels to courts as assigned and provides admin support as needed.
• Prepares and reviews transcripts and related court documents.
