Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging using various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
• Inform customers about grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash collection inside and outside the store.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents, and adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Comply with food safety regulations and perform equipment inspections, reporting repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
