Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are undamaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather/balance shopping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and perform equipment inspections, reporting repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
• Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information.
