Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
• Clean spills, trash inside store and parking lot, and all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions about products.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments, manage conflicts, act with honesty and integrity, follow directions, and support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
