• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, ensuring at least five items per bag and no damage to contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of the basket for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather/return shopping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including spills and trash pickup.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.65 per hour.
