Essential Job Functions:

1. Bagging groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Following best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and returning merchandise to store shelves.
6. Informing customers of grocery specials.
7. Gathering and returning bascarts to designated areas.
8. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all areas inside and outside of the store.
9. Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
10. Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
11. Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
12. Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Practicing preventive maintenance and notifying management of equipment issues.
14. Creating a welcoming environment, answering questions, and assisting customers throughout the store.
15. Adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
17. Following directions, seeking assistance when needed, and supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Performing all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
